David S. Barr Journalism Award

Recognizes one college student for journalistic achievement in the area of social justice. Open to all full or part-time college students.

All entries must be of work published or broadcast that helped to right a wrong; corrected an injustice; or promoted justice and fairness.

The amount of the award is $1,500 for the college student winner. The awards are presented at the annual Freedom Award banquet which will be held in Washington, DC in May. The winners will receive transportation to Washington, DC and hotel lodging to attend the banquet
